EPA to Enbridge: Plan not good enough

WOOD TV 8 -- MARSHALL, Mich. (WOOD) - The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has told oil company Enbridge that it's plan for a long-term clean-up of the Kalamazoo River and surrounding areas is deficient, and is giving the company 2 days to come up with a revised plan.

Hope they come up with a plan that will maximize clean-up of the spill area and not just "meet" requirements of the EPA.

Stiffer penalties are passed on to the consumer. I believe the EPA not only needs better plans from this company - but should be regularly checking all oil/chemical companies leak contingency plans to make sure they are current and will work.

nothing anyone does is good enough for EPA. They expect the result of a cleanup to have the water cleaner than the drinking water coming out of a virgin, unpolluted Colorado Creek.
